Monster Birthday Card

So I can finally post again.  Was having trouble downloading pics for a week or so and I actually had stuff to share. Bummer!!  I know you guys were wondering where I was.  hehe Anyway, here is something new but a little bit old.

I haven't used this stamp in the longest time and thought it would be perfect for my nephew, Ryan's, 9th birthday.  The stamps are from Stampin' Up!, the papers are from October Afternoon, and I did the coloring with Prismacolor colored pencils and Gamsol.  Another something old is new again.  If you are looking for Gamsol, go to the hardware store and get some mineral spirits, that's all it is.  It costs about 1/3rd the price of the Gamsol.  Get the rolled paper blender stubs at Michaels or JoAnns for about $1.  This works with any regular colored pencils (not watercolor pencils).  The Gamsol is great because it doesn't wear down the paper or warp the paper the way that water and watercolor pencils will.

Anyway, have fun and I will try to post something tomorrow.

Daisy Grateful Card

I'm sitting here in my basement on a beautiful day and I can hear the birds singing outside.  Why am I at the computer?  I'm a little too tired to do much else and I have to take pictures tonight at the dance center so I'm reserving my energy.  Looking through my files I found this card and it just seemed like the perfect addition to the day.  The grass is trying to turn green, eventhough I heard the "S" word on the news this morning.  It's all my fault because I put my winter boots away yesterday.  But I'm getting off topic.  I love this card because of the simplicity and of the daisy and the soft colors.  This image just doesn't do it justice though.

The stamps are from someplace that I can't remember because it isn't on the stamp.  If they want me to remember they really need to mark it for me.  I think it might have been "The Angel Company" or something like that.  The paper is from Stampin' Up! and it was watercolored with Crayola watercolors.  If you can find the ones that aren't washable they have wonderful color.  The words are also from Stampin' Up!

I hope you enjoy it and if you know what company the daisy is from please let me know.
