Babies and Puppies :)

This goes into the category of "I love my job".  I made this on Saturday afternoon at work in about 40 minutes.  This frame had been hanging in the workroom for the longest time, with one space empty and the others with old pics and product we hadn't carried forever.

Anyway, whats better to cheer up any day than puppies and babies.  This is my great-niece Sylvia and my niece Kim's puppy Izzy.  You may remember Sylvia from my earlier box frame project.  The tiny tiny sweet little baby.

The papers are all from Little Yellow Bicycle.

Retirement Card

This is just a sweet little card I made for a friend who just retired.  Like me, she loves the kitties.  The stamps are from Penny Black, the papers are Basic Grey and the saying is from the "Inspiration Station" book.  I would highly recommend this book, it has everything.

You Make Me Feel Like Dancing

When Uncle Mike found out that Allison needed new toe shoes he jumped right in and helped us get them.  This was just a little thank you to him for being such a sweetheart.  Who would have thunk that he would have been the sweetheart.  HMMM Sometimes life can be surprising.  Big hugs to him.
The decorative paper is from October afternoon and the solids and the stamp is from Stampin' Up!.

Blue Convertable

With Father's Day just around the corner I thought something masculine was in order.  Looks like this is all Stampin' Up!  Papers and stamps.

My brain is basically mush at the moment and I just can't think of anything creative to say.

Cooling My Toes

I thought I'd post this one today because I want to be there.  It's so freaking hot here that water would be the only thing to lure me outside.

This is a Stampin' Up! stamp with copic markers.  The papers are Stampin' Up! and I thought I had more of that decorative paper but, I guess I don't so I have no idea who made it.  Sorry:(

So I'll be dreaming about sitting on a boat cooling my toes in the lake while in reality I'll be sitting in my basement hiding from the heat, dreaming of the snow.  Ok maybe not he snow but I really hate this hear.

Sorry I haven't posted for a while.  The site was giving me a hard time for some reason.  Anyway, here is something new.

For some reason this one just felt right for today.  Maybe I am in need of a girlfriend night.  Or I just need a hug or something. I'm not even sure where this image is from because I've had it for so long.

It was colored with watercolor pencils and the decorative paper is from BoBunny (I think.)

Monster Birthday Card

So I can finally post again.  Was having trouble downloading pics for a week or so and I actually had stuff to share. Bummer!!  I know you guys were wondering where I was.  hehe Anyway, here is something new but a little bit old.

I haven't used this stamp in the longest time and thought it would be perfect for my nephew, Ryan's, 9th birthday.  The stamps are from Stampin' Up!, the papers are from October Afternoon, and I did the coloring with Prismacolor colored pencils and Gamsol.  Another something old is new again.  If you are looking for Gamsol, go to the hardware store and get some mineral spirits, that's all it is.  It costs about 1/3rd the price of the Gamsol.  Get the rolled paper blender stubs at Michaels or JoAnns for about $1.  This works with any regular colored pencils (not watercolor pencils).  The Gamsol is great because it doesn't wear down the paper or warp the paper the way that water and watercolor pencils will.

Anyway, have fun and I will try to post something tomorrow.

Daisy Grateful Card

I'm sitting here in my basement on a beautiful day and I can hear the birds singing outside.  Why am I at the computer?  I'm a little too tired to do much else and I have to take pictures tonight at the dance center so I'm reserving my energy.  Looking through my files I found this card and it just seemed like the perfect addition to the day.  The grass is trying to turn green, eventhough I heard the "S" word on the news this morning.  It's all my fault because I put my winter boots away yesterday.  But I'm getting off topic.  I love this card because of the simplicity and of the daisy and the soft colors.  This image just doesn't do it justice though.

The stamps are from someplace that I can't remember because it isn't on the stamp.  If they want me to remember they really need to mark it for me.  I think it might have been "The Angel Company" or something like that.  The paper is from Stampin' Up! and it was watercolored with Crayola watercolors.  If you can find the ones that aren't washable they have wonderful color.  The words are also from Stampin' Up!

I hope you enjoy it and if you know what company the daisy is from please let me know.

Accordian Binding Mini Album - My Pets

I created this book using and accordian binding.  I love this technique because you can use it to make almost any size mini album.  It's just a lot of fun and very flexible.

Of course these are my animals, Maggie, Brady, Jackie and Bernard (Bernie).

The papers are all Basic Grey, Max and Whiskers collection.

Valentine's Day (A little late)

I did finally get valentines made for my sweeties.  I might have done them that day but at least I did them myself.

There have been years in the past where I sent on, or regifted a card I already had from someone else.  I'm not proud, but I will admit my faults readily.

Anyway, with my cute little freebie from Bugaboo last Friday I created these fun valentines for my girls.

Sylvia - Printer's Box

Here is the printer's box that I have been working on for about 2 weeks.  This was so much fun.  The photos were done by a friend of mine, Kelly Weldon (she's an amazing photographer) and Sylvia was only 7 days old.  I did this with just the printer's box, 2 sheets of decorative paper and some cardstock and ribbons.  The paper flowers are all handmade.  Kelly also makes all the cute little hats.  If you ever need a photographer let me know and I can give you her information.

Sympathy Kitty

Have you ever noticed that you never have enough sympathy ideas.  Somethings are too cutsie or just flowers.  I think that sometimes it can be a little cute if it fits the loved one who has passed on.
This is a card I made for a friend who lost her kitty.  I just thought the saying was perfect.  Thank you Dr. Seuss.  Images are Bugaboo, stamped greeting is Hero Arts (a great new sympathy set) and the paper is, I have no idea.  If it's really important let me know and I will figure out where the paper came from.

Heat Wave

So lately I haven't been feeling that great and need to get some energy.  The fact that the temp is, OMG!!! Comcast says it is 21 degrees right now.  It's like a heat wave, burning in my heart.  (You should sing that last line).  Anyway, haven't posted for a few days but trying to get back at it.  My MS is doing dumb things to my mouth.  Yes that's what I said my mouth.  It is definitely the dumbest disease ever.  Right now my tongue feels like I took a mouthful of scalding coffee and held it for a moment.  It's so annoying.  I know it will go away but for now I will use it as an excuse to go to DQ.  "BLIZZARDS AWAY!!!"

BTW, that's Maggie!!  She makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, when she's not puking on something.

One Tequila Two Tequila

I love Bugaboo.  Papers are BoBunny (I think) and coloring of course, copic markers. I'm so bad at remembering to scan the inside of the card before I send it off.  Inside it says... wait for it.... "Floor!"... I amuse easily.

Kabatogama Accordion Mini Album

Accordion Mini Album for Nathan, Shawn and Christy.  I actually made the books last year and my sister-in-law asked me to put pictures into it for this Christmas and I got them done and then forgot to bring them on Christmas.  So I still have them and will hopefully get them to her soon.

Sympathy Daisies

Whether we like it or not, we should always have some of these on hand.  The daisy is from "The Angel Company" (I think), the greeting and cardstock is "Stampin' Up!" and the image is colored with Copic Markers (my favorite).

THE BIRTH OF A BLOG!!!

All right if I had any idea about what I was doing here I might be able to add some dramatic music like trumpets and such announcing my blog "Holy Crap, I made this!".  Now I will  share with you some of the things I am making or have made in the past.  This could include messes that I've made, children that I've made and maybe just some creative things that I've made.

So, I'm not really sure if anyone will care but I will now tell people about my blog.  If you are reading this then I can tell you to expect a lot of silliness, misspellings (and please do not spell check or grammar check me, no one likes that) hopefully some cool stuff I've made and also the flops.  Maybe I can inspire someone or entertain someone for just a little while.  I might even manage to irritate some people but I don't care.  If you want to see something let me know.  I'll see what I can do.  You will also probably read lots of rambling on about nothing much, like right now.  Anyway, thank you for taking the time to show an interest in what I'm doing and I will try to not be too boring.  But I can't promise anything.

Hedgehog Valentines

Some of my adorable Penny Black Hedgehogs.  These were just the cutest cards.

Crabby Cats Note Card set for CFC Silent Auction

I made these cards from the Bugaboo Crabby Cats set and a bunch of really cute paper I got in the Hot Spot at Archivers.  I love this paper and can't find anymore, boo.  Anyway, this set raised $45 for Caring for Cats and I was pretty proud of them.  And the wonderful person who bought them also ordered 2 more sets.  Yippee!

Letterbox Frame for Ben and Jeanne

I created this as a wedding gift for Ben and Jeanne.  I had so much fun experimenting with different effects and products.  I put an acrylic block over the picture of them at the alter and used some of the papers and ribbons from their invitations and from the decorations at the wedding.  I really wanted it to express the beauty of the day and also their humor.  I also took the pictures which made it easy for me to get exactly the shots I wanted.  Not too bad for my first box.

I'm going to do this thing.

OK, so I'm going to blog.  I'm not sure what that means or really if anyone cares but here it goes.

I just posted my first picture and it wasn't too hard.  And right now I know the girls are upstairs waiting for me to take them to get their hair done.  So this is really all I have to say for the moment.

The birth of a blog,  hummmmm, I feel like I should have something really deep and inspirational to say but sitting here in nothing but my robe with my husband vacuuming in the other room all I can think of to say is, ....... well nothing.

Maybe later I will be a little more entertaining.  I will try, not that anyone will really be reading this but me.

This is the card I made for my nephew Josh's 10th Birthday.  I love Bugagoo images they just make me so happy.  Of course the copic markers are the only thing that really make this work.
